About the role
The primary purpose of the role is to increase knowledge, innovation and expertise across the nursing workforce of Te Whatu Ora - Wairarapa through high quality education and training support. While focused on providing support to nursing staff within the Perioperative Service, the role functions as a member of the Practice Development Unit team collaboratively contributing to ensuring evidence-based best practice.
This position will work 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE), days of work to be discussed with successful applicant.
About you
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with proven professional leadership skills and a focus on the importance of a culture of continuous improvement and life-long learning. You are also passionate about the profession of nursing and high quality nursing care improving health outcomes. A background in education and/or previous experience as a Nurse Educator is desirable.

Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa provides health services for the Wairarapa community which are nationally planned, delivered regionally and tailored locally.
The Practice Development Unit is located within the grounds of Wairarapa Hospital and provides education and training support for the nursing staff of Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa along with partner health providers.
