Remuneration: $77.48 - $78.91 per hour
Hours Per Week: 32 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
As the After-Hours Nurse Manager (Reliever), you will provide leadership and operational oversight across the facility, ensuring efficient service delivery, patient safety, and workforce coordination after hours.
  • Oversee after-hours hospital operations including patient flow, bed management and staffing
  • Lead and coordinate nursing and support staff deployment across the facility
  • Act as Hospital Incident Controller during emergencies or critical incidents
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance and escalation support to staff
  • Manage reporting, incident escalation, and communication with the Executive On Call

Essential Criteria:
  • Registration in line with Award requirements: Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Selection Criteria:
1. Post graduate Health Management qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
2. Demonstrated relevant senior nursing experience in a relevant complex clinical setting. With a proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
3. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.
4. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.
5. Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, and quality and safety improvement projects in the workplace.
6. Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues impacting on patient flow and capacity and demonstrated ability to engage teams in implementing demand management strategies.
7. Demonstrated experience in managing complex human resources, work health and safety and industrial matters including high level communication and negotiation skills.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational and professional outcomes.
