An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join the Medical Imaging Department at Nepean Hospital temporarily. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for delivering high quality, patient centered nursing services across a busy and progressive Medical Imaging Department.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and support a team of dedicated nursing professionals while driving clinical excellence, workforce development, patient safety, and service improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively with radiologists, medical imaging professionals, multidisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership, you will play a vital role in ensuring outstanding patient experiences and efficient service delivery.

What you will bring to the role
  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) AND extensive relevant post registration Nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and support a culture of integrity and professionalism which adheres to legislation and policy.
  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with Clinicians, Managers, Staff and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit/ward are managed to deliver safe and efficient health care within available resources.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and organizational goals utilising change management principles.
  • Evidence of and commitment to patient/client/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
  • Current Driver’s License and ability to travel within the LHD as required.
