Strawberries on Seddon Limited in Waikato is currently recruiting recruiting for the full-time, permanent role of a Nursery Person.
You must have at least 3 years of work experience and/or a level 4 qualification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- prepare soil mixes and composts
- selecting seeds, bulbs and cuttings, and planting them in beds, lawn areas and tubs
- spraying
- indoor irrigation
- processing bulbs
- applying pesticides to control pests, diseases, weeds and nutritional and environmental plant disorders
- growing plants from seeds and cuttings
- soil mixtures, plantings, treatments, losses and yields
- water, feed, prune, pot and label plants
- operate and maintain irrigation systems
- organise stock and dispatch
- advising customers and appropriate plants for local conditions
- spray plants to control weeds, pests and diseases
- drive tractors, forklifts and delivery trucks.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour.
- 32-hour minimum work week and maximum of 40 hours
- Training and tools provided.
- Opportunity to work in a supportive team environment.

Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
