Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

What you'll be doing
Provide appropriate occupational therapy services for inpatients, outpatients and community clients as referred in a manner consistent with professional code of ethics and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About You
You are a dedicated Occupational Therapist with recognised qualifications and registration eligibility through the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, committed to supporting adults to achieve greater independence, safety, and quality of life. Using a client-centred and evidence-based approach, you are skilled in assessing individual needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and facilitating effective discharge planning that promotes optimal health and wellbeing outcomes.

You are a confident practitioner who applies sound professional judgement to manage complex clinical presentations and deliver high-quality occupational therapy services across a variety of healthcare settings. Your ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, carers, and colleagues is supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster trust, encourage engagement, and contribute to positive therapeutic outcomes.

Adaptable and highly organised, you are capable of working autonomously while also collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with community support services to ensure coordinated and seamless care. You are experienced in balancing clinical, administrative, and professional development responsibilities, prioritising competing demands, and organising workloads to achieve service objectives while maintaining a high standard of care.

Committed to continuous improvement and professional growth, you demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a strong focus on delivering person-centred services. With a current NSW Driver Licence, you have the flexibility to travel as required to support clients and service delivery across a range of locations and community settings.
