Job Description


We are looking for a Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Darwin, Canberra, or Hobart on a full-time or part-time basis!

As a Rehabilitation Consultant you will play a vital role in the provision of workplace rehabilitation services to help build better lives through work and health. As part of the team you’ll support people to get well and working.

As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking Occupational Therapy assessments including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment assessments
  • Undertaking assessments to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans
  • Designing and implementing intervention programmes using occupation to improve functional performance, independence and work capacity
  • Identifying barriers and designing, implementing and monitoring programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation
  • Understanding a variety of healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empowering your clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals
  • Liaising with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes

Qualifications


What you’ll bring to the role

  • Australian recognised degree qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA accreditation
  • Willingness to learn and impact positively on people’s lives in tangible ways
  • The ability to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey
  • A commitment to a high level of customer service to your clients and customers
  • Willingness to work in the community (must have drivers licence and access to own vehicle)
  • Current or able to get a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
