Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient communication among team members. This role requires strong clerical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties

  • Oversee general office operations, including managing phone systems and maintaining office supplies.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document management to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records in compliance with company policies.
  • At Rapid Freightways, we are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to help with our daily administrative tasks.
  • AP: Manage accounts payable, reconciliations, cheque runs.
  • AR: Create invoices, bank deposits, paychecks etc.
  • Manage paperwork and all documentation

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at Excel, Quickbooks.
  • Analytical capabilities considered an asset

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
  • Strong clerical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and basic budgeting principles is a plus.
  • Experience in team management or coordination is beneficial.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and standard office software applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
