Office Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and maintaining efficient office processes. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and excellent communication abilities. A candidate with previous experience within the construction industry would be advantageous.

Duties

  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Support financial operations by managing invoices and basic bookkeeping tasks.
  • Stock Control using Connect IT system.
  • Provide assistance to team members as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organised office environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computerised systems, Sage line50, microsoft office & excel.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: £22,880.00-£33,618.67 per year
