Job Summary:

CTH Controls Inc. has an opening for an Office Assistant/Administrator. This position is based in Burlington, ON.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), the ideal candidate will be required to be in the office from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. There is no opportunity to work hybrid or remotely as this position requires in office tasks to be completed daily.

Expected Salary: $45,000-$60,000 per year

Paid Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation per year

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing prospects and leads, managing the sales pipeline (providing and managing quotations, order confirmations, product acquisition, shipping, and invoicing). Additionally, our ideal candidate would have a friendly demeanor and great communication skills as they would be an initial point of contact for our customers and vendors.

We have been servicing the instrumentation requirements for the pharma, food, aerospace, water/ wastewater and automotive industries since 1973. We specialize in lean manufacturing solutions, process measurement, control and system integration. Our customers require products and services that meet or exceed the most stringent international standards. Responsibilities:

  • Enter and create Purchase Orders, invoices and maintain sales records
  • Create quotes and respond to customer inquiries
  • Answer and respond to inbound calls, emails, and messages with excellent customer service.
  • Ship using UPS, FedEx, Purolator, as well as international shipping using customs and brokerage agencies.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipping.
  • Use QuickBooks to manage quotations, order confirmations, and invoicing. Training will be provided on how to effectively use and manage this application.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and messages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Organize and manage leads with attention to detail, ensuring no leads are missed.
  • Follow instructions meticulously and ensure all tasks are completed accurately.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, including order fulfillment and shipping, as well as helping other admin staff with tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Evidence of successful, high performance in work, school or other activities.
  • Prior experience in customer service or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid G2 or G class driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
