Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of safety and order in all areas of the Lining/Molding Departments. This job requires frequent interactions with other employees. Must be able to work well with other employees. Candidate must be self-motivated and
prepared to take initiative. Maintain machines and equipment needed for production.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work Safely at all times including proper LOTO of machines and use of proper PPE
  • Promote 5S maintenance & improvements
  • Be a positive role model to the team
  • Strong troubleshooting skills including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatics systems
  • Maintain machines and associated equipment in optimum condition
  • Make necessary and / or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production
  • Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
  • Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time
  • Be RESULTS oriented using visual KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Be multi-skilled to support team members as needed
  • Develop and follow the standardized work instructions to minimize machine downtime,
  • Seek out assistance from department manager/team leaders as required
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Be a good listener and understand issues before coming up with solutions (root cause analysis)

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors, make suggestions for improvements, and actively participates in implementing solutions
  • Identifies safety gaps and self-initiates corrective actions
  • Strictly adheres to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts
  • Understands, identifies, and corrects safety hazards
  • Drives a culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own


Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards.
  • Complies with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
  • Reports any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products to the location’s Food Safety Team Leader and submits an appropriate incident report


JOB INFORMATION SUMMARY

  • POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 4
  • JOB TYPE: Full-time
  • WAGE PER HOUR: $22
  • IS THERE A SHIFT PREMIUM? Yes, +$2.00 per hour when working the night shift (6:45pm to 7:00am)
  • HOURS PER WEEK: 40+ OVER TIME: Yes
  • EXPECTED OVER TIME: Guaranteed OT 2 hours per week and additional OT as needed.
  • WORKWEEK: Sunday-Saturday SCHEDULE: This is a 3/2/3 schedule with every other weekend off. SHIFTS: 4 shifts, A, B, C and D, rotating two-week schedule due to 12-hour workdays; but, does not rotate from days to nights. - A & B: 6:45am – 7:00pm, - C &D: 6:45pm – 7:00am
  • CAN THEY WORK EXTRA DAYS: Yes
  • HOW OFTEN WILL THEY WORK EXTRA DAYS: 1 maybe more.
  • WILL THEY WORK WEEKENDS: Every other weekend is off.
  • PAYMENT DAYS: Weekly

  • BREAK TIMES: Two paid 15 min breaks per shift and 1/2 lunch unpaid break.

Qualifications


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required to walk, sit and/or stand for up to 11.75 hours per day.
  • May be required to reach with hands and arms.
  • As needed, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs and lift to 50 lbs.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Yes
  • IF YES, WHAT EXPERIENCE: Manufacturing experience
  • IS HE REQUIRED TO SUPERVISE OTHER WORKERS: No, they will be supervised by an engineer on site.
  • CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: Yes, carta de no antecedentes penales and/or US Criminal Background Check.
  • DRUG TEST: Yes, after arrival to place of employment. Cannabis is legal in NY we do not test for it.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties, prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Lifting of up to 30 pounds above shoulder height. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts. May need to walk varying distances, climb stairs, and bend.
  • ENGLISH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: Preferred, but not obligatory.
  • MUST ATTEND JOB TRAINING: Yes, training will be approx. 6 months, possibly longer.
  • TYPE OF UNIVERSITY DEGREE DESIRED: Technical school or 2-year technical degree preferred. Mechanical, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, etc.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT: 40lbs.

TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES TO PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT

  • PAID FLIGHT TO BUSINESS LOCATION: Employer will provide with a flight from the place of recruitment to the place of employment, and then deduct from pay and reimburse at day 90. The employee could pay for it and the employer would reimburse after 90 days of employment.
  • AIRPORT OF ARRIVAL: Burlington
  • TRAVEL FOOD EXPENSE COVERED: Yes, up to $30 USD per day of travel. Keep receipts.
  • MEAL UPON ARRIVAL: Yes


WORKPLACE TRANSPORTATION

  • TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORKSITE: Yes, employer provides bus to and from place of employment to the housing. There is a 645am bus, he can take that in, would need to uber home
  • ADDITIONAL TRANSPORTATION: Urban area, public transportation is available including Uber, Taxi, etc.
