Description:
Onsite Field Technician – Sydney (Remote with Travel)

Are you a hands-on technician who loves leading onsite work and travelling to new places? Orikan is looking for a proactive Onsite Field Technician to take charge of installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects for our cutting-edge smart parking solutions across Australia.

Location: Remote-based – ideally located between Sydney and the Blue Mountains
Travel: Frequent travel across Australia, depending on project schedules
Tools of Trade: Company vehicle provided

Why This Role Matters:
This role is more than just technical support – you’ll be the Onsite Field Technician, coordinating field activities, guiding contractors, and ensuring each deployment runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll represent Orikan on the ground, turning plans into outcomes and building strong client relationships along the way.

What You’ll Do:
Lead onsite deployment and maintenance projects for smart parking equipment
Coordinate and oversee contractors and onsite resources
Install, configure, and test hardware (meters, sensors, cameras, and related tech)
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating where required
Act as the primary onsite contact for clients and the Orikan operations team
Keep accurate records, manage onsite inventory, and maintain your assigned vehicle
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Skills and Experiences:
What You’ll Bring:
Strong technical background in field hardware installation and maintenance
Proven ability to lead onsite activities and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
A professional, self-motivated, and adaptable approach
Willingness and availability for regular travel across regions and states
Experience in smart parking or similar field-based systems (advantageous)
