Job Overview
Gloucester Refuse LLC is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Operations Associate to join our growing team.
This is a multi-functional role that supports both office operations and field operations, including customer service, route support, and occasional driving duties. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Duties
The Operations Associate is a hybrid role supporting both office operations and field service activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Customer Service & Office Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email
- Provide accurate information regarding services, pricing, billing, and scheduling
- Assist customers with new service setup, changes, and cancellations
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate account records
- Perform data entry and maintain organized customer and service records
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct outbound calls for follow-ups, service confirmations, and customer support
- Promote and upsell additional services such as trash bins, dumpster rentals, and specialty services
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily operations and customer interactions
- Assist with service agreements, route coordination, and internal reporting
- Utilize company systems and software (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery
- Support general office operations in a fast-paced environment
Field Operations (Driver & Route Support)
- Assist with residential and commercial trash collection routes as needed
- Operate company vehicles safely (if qualified and approved)
- Lift, move, and empty trash containers and dumpsters
- Ensure all assigned stops are completed accurately and efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operational standards
- Inspect, clean, and maintain trucks and equipment
- Report any vehicle issues, equipment damage, or safety concerns promptly
General Expectations
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support various operational needs
- Work effectively in both independent and team environments
- Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and business demands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to meet commercial insurance (MVR) requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry)
- Ability to work both in an office setting and outdoors in field conditions
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience
- Experience in physically demanding roles (e.g., warehouse, construction, landscaping, waste management)
- Experience operating trucks or commercial vehicles (a plus, but not required)
- Sales or upselling experience is a plus
Work Requirements
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to walk long distances and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, extended hours, or occasional weekends as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Additional Requirements
- Must pass background and reference checks
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Pay: From $33,000.00 per year
