Position Summary – Operations Buyer
Based on Materials Planner
Position Summary:
The Operations Buyer supports efficient supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and ordering materials, resolving availability issues, tracking costs, and maintaining accurate records in ERP systems and associated trackers. Your role ensures timely purchases, invoice and cost tracking, master data accuracy during production ramp-up, and regular supplier communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, update, and actively use available inventory and planning towards material orders.
- Monitor and use material resource planning tools for accurate tracking.
- Analyze material plans, identify seasonal patterns, and communicate forecasts to suppliers.
- Resolve routine availability issues, including shortages or returns, to maintain supply continuity.
- Expedite orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure ERP software or other trackers reflect current information about orders.
- Compile and maintain supplier and item profiles to support efficient refresh or renewal processes.
- Build and sustain strong supplier relationships
- Uphold high quality standards in all aspects of supply chain planning.
Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve root causes of supply disruptions.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

How we work together

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
