Mai-Wel is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator – Cleaning & Grounds to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our growing social enterprise. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to combine strong operational leadership with meaningful social impact by supporting people with disability in transitional employment pathways.

As the Operations Coordinator – Cleaning and Grounds, you will oversee all aspects of the cleaning and grounds maintenance enterprise, ensuring high‑quality service delivery, safe operations, and positive customer experiences. You will lead and mentor staff, manage resources and budgets, and work closely with internal teams to support employment pathways and skill development for Mai‑Wel participants.
This role is based in Maitland, with travel to multiple sites as required, and plays a key role in shaping, delivering, and expanding Mai‑Wel’s cleaning and grounds maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations including rostering, job scheduling, reporting, and contract delivery
Lead, train, and support staff, including participants engaged through NDIS Employment Pathways
Ensure compliance with WHS, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures
Oversee equipment, assets, and supplier relationships
Monitor budgets, costs, and financial performance
Deliver consistent, high‑quality customer service and respond to feedback
Collaborate with internal teams to support transitional employment outcomes
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and community partners
Position Details
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 38 hours per week
Location: Maitland (travel across sites required)
Salary: SCHADS Award Level 4
