Description:
About the Role
The operations Coordinator supports the planning and delivery of preparedness, recovery, engagement and training activities. This is a paid, part-time role for 8 hours per week until 30/06/26.
Supporting the DRRT leadership team, Logistics Coordinators and National Field Operations, and working closely with the DRRT 2IC, you’ll help ensure activities are well planned, safe and operationally ready, enabling volunteers to deploy confidently and effectively.
You’ll support operational documentation, Operational Skills Training (OST), reconnaissance activities where required and contribute to safety-focused planning and reporting.
You’ll provide regular operational updates to the DRRT Associate Director or 2IC and may assist in supporting and coordinating volunteer Operations Associates. This is a Hybrid role with occasional attendance at DRRT Qld Sth Office in Hendra.

Skills and Experiences:
About You
You bring an understanding of operational planning, coordination or logistics principles, and ideally an understanding of disaster recovery, emergency management or community-based operations. You’re practical, reliable, and comfortable working with documentation, planning tools and operational information.
You’re flexible, solutions-focused and team-oriented, and motivated by contributing to meaningful outcomes for communities and fellow volunteers. You’re comfortable adapting to changing priorities and supporting operations in dynamic environments.
