Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi - About the Role
You will provide logistical and operational coordination and support to the Manager of Sustainability and Outdoor Education, to facilitate delivery of the portfolio across all campuses and programmes within institutional guidelines, strategies and constraints.
This role includes booking of accommodation and transport, ordering equipment and materials; and facilitates and monitors the processing of accounts, timetabling, enrolments, and curriculum loading.
The high coordination focus of the role also requires skills in administration, workload planning, the implementation of strategic goals, support for resource allocation, and any relevant budget monitoring. The role has an operational focus with some oversight of processes and projects.
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako - Skills and Experience
- Have a tertiary qualification or working towards a qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Sound experience in a similar role, ideally within the tertiary sector
- Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills
- Experience in coordinating the operational requirements of a business or organisation
- Strong problem solving skills
- High level of IT literacy, including skill in the use of a range of key software systems (word, excel, power point, outlook, etc)
- Knowledge and competence in the use of institutional systems and processes, or the ability to pick these up quickly
- Works cooperatively and collaboratively with others
- Has good self-control and has appropriate expectations of self and others
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and assertiveness
- Is dynamic and versatile
- Can do attitude while working within constraints
