Position Overview

Lunenburg Shipyard is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily shipyard operations and coordinate vessel service work. This role is responsible for managing operational teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining efficient workflow across shipyard activities. The Operations Manager reports directly to Mike Wilson, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and oversees approximately 30 operational staff, technicians, and subcontractors involved in vessel servicing and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipyard operations including vessel hauling, launching, and yard movements Coordinate service schedules, project timelines, and operational priorities
• Lead and supervise operational teams and subcontractors
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Coordinate procurement activities and assist with bidding on work
• Maintain accurate job tracking to support operational reporting and invoicing

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of operational leadership experience
• Experience in marine, shipyard, construction, or industrial environments preferred Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $57,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
