Operations Manager

Job Overview:

We are adding an Operations Manager to our team to help us stay organized and focused as we grow our BaseVac Dental business to $8M in sales this year.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping our production team GET THINGS DONE. Organization and working with a sense of urgency are the keys to success in this role. This role will be very hands-on and you will have an opportunity to grow with our business.

This job is located at our Mississauga head office near Dundas & the 403. You should plan to be in the office 5 days a week to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Convert our sales forecasts into 3-month production schedules.
• Plan, purchase and monitor all materials needed for BaseVac sales and production.
• Work with existing and new suppliers to continuously improve input costs and/or quality.
• "Own" our inventory, ensuring inventory is organized and inventory counts are current and accurate.
• Lead our team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize operations (for example, by improving production processes).
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure on-time production targets are met or exceeded.
• Project manage special projects, including R&D, new product launches, key marketing projects, etc.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards, including our ISO 13485 MDSAP license requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management or related field.
• Experience in a supply chain or operations management role.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successful project management.
• A "roll up your sleeves" attitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Occasionally working on our sometimes-noisy production floor
• Occasionally handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs
• Occasional bending, crouching, kneeling
