Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility. We develop technology-driven solutions to make transportation safer and more convenient worldwide. We work with police departments and municipalities across the Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, to install safety cameras, including red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm cameras. We manage tolling transactions and violations for the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies, serving over 8.5 million vehicles whilst, via our proprietary connected systems, are processing nearly 165 million transactions each year for more than 50 tolling authorities.
Our values
Verra Mobility is a vibrant and rapidly expanding company that places people at the heart of everything we do. We wholeheartedly embrace our core values: Do What’s Right, Lead with Grace, Win Together, and Own It in our every interaction with our customers and dedicated team members.
As our business looks forward and continue to deliver premium service to our valued customers, we wish to engage a committed individual who is skilled in Operations Management.
This is a full-time, permanent leadership role with a hybrid working arrangement, based in South Melbourne.
The opportunity
The role leads operational delivery across Victoria & South Australia, supporting the deployment and ongoing management of road traffic safety technology under complex government contracts.
You will be accountable for safe, compliant and efficient service delivery across field and remote teams, ensuring technology-enabled services are delivered to strict contractual, legislative and performance standards. The role combines workforce leadership, operational governance, performance management and continuous improvement, with genuine authority to lift capability and execution across multiple regions. A significant focus of service delivery for this role will be across Victoria.
This is a senior operations role for someone who understands regulated service delivery and can translate contract obligations into disciplined, high-performing operations that ultimately contribute to safer roads.
What you’ll do
- Lead multi-region operational delivery of road traffic safety technology services
- Own SLAs, KPIs, dashboards, reporting and audit readiness
- Direct workforce planning, utilisation, deployment and performance across dispersed teams
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Drive step-change improvement through workflow standardisation, systems uplift and process redesign
- Resolve operational and technical escalations in partnership with engineering and support teams
- Maintain compliance with government contracts, WHS, quality and environmental requirements
- Build capability through structured coaching, performance management and leadership development
- Represent operations in customer reviews and governance forums
Why this role
This role suits an experienced operations leader with a background in regulated, service-delivery or field-based environments, ideally supported by tertiary qualifications in business, operations, engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience). You bring strong operational discipline, confidence managing complex contracts, SLAs and KPIs, and the ability to lead dispersed teams while lifting performance, efficiency and governance. Your experience working within ITIL-aligned service frameworks, coupled with sound judgement, data-driven decision-making and people leadership capability, positions you to take ownership of critical road traffic safety technology operations and deliver outcomes that directly contribute to safer roads and reliable public infrastructure.
