The Opportunity
Based in Ingleburn, our Sydney Distribution Centre is the home of our Local Adaptation Centre producing best in class lead times of Air Circuit Breakers to Customers across Australia and New Zealand. The facility plays a crucial role in tailoring our circuit breaker solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers, including switchboard manufacturers, electrical contractors, and industrial clients.
Reporting to the Pacific Director of Manufacturing as our new Operations Manager, you will take a lead role in leading the manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, service, quality and operational efficiency. This exciting new career opportunity will see you:
- Supervise day-to-day operational activities, coordinating resources to ensure timely and high-standard completion of work
- Act as a role model in driving our Values and ensuring efficient operations within a unique production environment that produces specialised, robust and high-quality products
- Oversee a variety of LEAN and other continuous improvement projects that supports our ongoing growth and streamlines operations to deliver customer-focused outcomes Implement and monitor HSE management practices, striving for excellence in quality and overall customer satisfaction
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with previous experience in a similar position, ideally within a similar manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership skills and related experience across operations and frontline management
- Knowledge of and experience in LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement
- A curious approach with a proven ability to interpret standards, identify gaps and propose value-adding solutions that make a tangible impact on operations
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with varied stakeholder groups
- Those with a knowledge of Circuit Breakers will be viewed favourably
