Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Operations Mobility Support specialist to provide critical support to Unit Deployment Managers (UDMs) and squadron leadership. This role ensures deployment readiness, mobility training compliance, and logistical coordination across a dynamic operational environment.
The selected candidate will manage personnel and equipment readiness, maintain deployment documentation, and coordinate with internal and external agencies to support real-world and exercise deployments. Responsibilities include tracking readiness data, validating Unit Type Codes (UTCs), managing mobility equipment, and ensuring compliance with Air Force and USAFE-AFAFRICA directives.
This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in Air Force mobility operations, deployment planning, and logistics readiness who thrive in high-tempo environments and are committed to supporting mission success across the European and African theaters.
What You Will Do
- Provide direct support to the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) and squadron leadership in managing deployment readiness, mobility training, and logistics functions.
- Track and manage personnel and equipment readiness using LOGMOD, DCAPES, and the Air Expeditionary Tasking (AET) database.
- Maintain deployment folders, accountability rosters, and equipment inventories IAW AFI 10-403, AFI 10-401, and USAFE-AFAFRICA guidance.
- Coordinate deployment taskings, schedules, and shortfalls with Wing Plans, the Installation Deployment Readiness Cell (IDRC), and the Deployment Control Center (DCC).
- Validate and prepare Unit Type Codes (UTCs), Cargo Deployment Function (CDF), and Personnel Deployment Function (PDF) products in support of contingency operations.
- Update unit readiness data in ART and DRRS-AF prior to monthly reporting deadlines.
- Conduct deployment briefings, pre-deployment checklists, and processing requirements for assigned aircrew and personnel.
- Verify currency and completion of theater-specific training, medical, and weapons qualifications for deployable members.
- Manage deployment kits and mobility equipment, ensuring calibration, expiration dates, and accountability are maintained.
- Create and maintain accurate load plans, manifests, and cargo documentation for both exercises and real-world deployments.
- Coordinate personnel travel orders, passports, and visa requirements with Wing Mobility and Host-Nation authorities.
- Assist in developing and updating Contingency and Deployment Plans (CDPs) to ensure alignment with group and wing OPLAN taskings.
- Support mobility exercises and inspection preparation by maintaining required documentation and checklists for the Wing Inspection Team (WIT) and Inspector General (IG).
- Ensure compliance with Hazardous Cargo, Customs, and Host-Nation clearance procedures for movement of personnel and equipment.
- Maintain and update recall rosters, mobility contact lists, and deployment rotation schedules.
- Coordinate with Stan/Eval, Training, and Scheduling offices to ensure deployable aircrew remain mission-ready.
- Prepare after-action reports and lessons-learned documentation following exercises or real-world contingencies.
- Develop and maintain mobility continuity books, SOPs, and local instructions to ensure inspection-readiness.
- Serve as the focal point for all mobility-related correspondence, audits, and command-level data calls.
What We Are Looking For
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Air Force mobility, deployment, or logistics readiness management.
- Proficiency with LOGMOD, DCAPES, ART, and DRRS-AF.
- Working knowledge of AFI 10-403, AFI 10-401, and AFMAN 10-2504 (Air Force Emergency Management).
- Experience developing and maintaining deployment documentation, UTC validation, and readiness reporting
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple squadrons, agencies, and Host-Nation organizations.
- Familiarity with USAFE-AFAFRICA mobility and logistics procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills in a high-tempo operational environment.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Valid U.S. Passport and ability to travel OCONUS as needed.
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- Prior UDM, Logistics Plans (2G0X1), or Deployment Planner experience within a Fighter Wing or USAFE-AFAFRICA.
- Experience managing deployment data in LOGMOD, DCAPES, or JOPES.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Cargo, Customs, and Host-Nation clearance requirements.
- Experience supporting NATO or joint contingency operations in the European or African theaters.
- Familiarity with AOR-specific pre-deployment training, mobility inspection programs, and unit readiness reporting.
- Previous Air Force service in an Operations, Logistics, or Plans environment.
