Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, technically skilled Operations Support Specialist to join our growing team in Dublin. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You’ll be responsible for supporting the Head of Operations in ensuring the smooth running, security, and ongoing improvement of our clients’ websites and digital assets.
Must-have qualifications
- You must have at least 3 years experience in Web Design.
- You must have a high proficiency in English.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Ireland.
- You must not require a sponsorship for employment in Ireland.
- You must be able to commute to office in Dublin 15.
- You must understand that this is more a Technical and IT role than Digital Marketing / Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular website updates, maintenance, and content changes across client sites (primarily WordPress, but may include other CMS platforms)
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend technical issues, escalating complex problems as needed
- Monitor, assess, and implement website security measures to protect client sites from threats
- Manage domain registrations, renewals, and DNS settings
- Oversee website hosting environments, ensuring uptime, performance, and quick resolution of hosting-related issues
- Provide first-line support for website and hosting queries from clients and internal teams
- Document processes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to operational best practices
- Support the Head of Operations with ad hoc tasks and ongoing projects
- Liaise with account managers to ensure client requests are actioned promptly and professionally
- Stay up to date with industry trends, security threats, and emerging technologies relevant to web operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a website operations, technical support, or web administrator role
- Good working knowledge of website content management systems (especially WordPress)
- Familiarity with web hosting platforms, domain management, and basic website security protocols
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and clients
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cPanel, Plesk, or similar hosting control panels is a plus
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic scripting is advantageous but not essential
