Cascadia Metals is seeking a hands-on Operations Team Lead for our Delta branch. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse and production activities, setting the pace for the shift, and ensuring standard operating procedures are consistently followed. The Team Lead is a working leader who supports execution on the floor while driving safety, productivity, and team performance.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in metal and coil handling who is comfortable operating equipment and leading a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

OperationsExecution
- Oversee daily warehouse and production activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and on-time order fulfillment
- Coordinate workflow between receiving, processing, and shipping to meet production and customer requirements
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor to schedule and execute production runs in a cost- and time-efficient manner
- Monitor output, workflow, and bottlenecks; adjust labour and priorities in real time to meet targets
- Ensure accurate picking, staging, loading, and shipment of materials
- Lead, coach, and support a team of warehouse and production employees
- Conduct daily shift huddles and communicate priorities, safety expectations, and performance targets
- Train and onboard new employees; reinforce best practices and standard operating procedures
- Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback; escalate performance concerns as required
- Act as the primary point of contact for the team to resolve issues and remove barriers to execution
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, purchasing, inventory, and other departments to align priorities
- Coordinate activities across warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare and maintain reports on production output, material usage, and operational performance
- Provide clear shift handovers and updates to leadership
QualificationsExperience
- 1–3+ years of experience in a metal service centre, steel warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Strong hands-on experience working with metal and coil products.
- Experience operating a CTL (Cut-to-Length) machine.
- Valid forklift licence (required).
- Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment or facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting (OHSA).
