Description:
Quick overview of the role:
We are currently seeking an Operator to join Mesh on day shift where you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes, specified by work order, drawings, templates or layout as relevant to the machine. This will involve setting up the machine, monitoring the production process, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the rebar shapes are produced to the required specifications.

What will you be doing?

• Monitor production output and adjust settings to maintain accuracy, quality, and efficiency
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure all equipment is safe, ready, and compliant
• Operate machinery safely in line with procedures and safety standards
• Load/unload steel, set bend angles, and run controls for precision fabrication
• Inspect finished product for defects and ensure quality compliance standards are met
• Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming materials
• Organise, rack, and prepare finished product for dispatch in line with schedule

Skills and Experiences:

• Forklift license highly regarded.
