Berkeley Eye Center has been a Houston Eye Care leader since 1959. We have 26 clinics and 3 outpatient surgery centers to provide a wide spectrum of vision care services.

To better serve our patients Berkeley Eye Center has established our own optical laboratory. This lab will allow us to take more control over quality assurance, timely production, and expenses.

As part of the lab staffing, we have created the position of Optical Processing Specialist. This is a full-time position with a M-F daytime schedule.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

Review optical orders in Crystal and IMedicware (EMR/practice management software)

Order frames and lenses from vendors

File Insurance Claims–Process claims online for all optical insurance plans.

Manage frame inventory on hand.

Ideal Candidates...

- Well-rounded experience in an optical environment.

-Previous experience work with Vision Plans is required.

-2+ years' experience of filing vision insurance claims.

-Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

- Familiarity with Crystal EMR/ Practice Management Software is a big plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 - $26.75 per hour
