University Optometric Clinic is currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and responsible individual to join our busy downtown Toronto office.
Successful Candidates must have the following:
- Excellent command of verbal and written English Language.
- Professional and pleasant phone manner with the ability to handle patient queries.
- Genuine desire to help patient receive the care they need.
- Attention to detail, high quality of work and punctuality.
- Ability to take on different roles and responsibilities and to prioritize important tasks.
- To work well under pressure.
- Keep a cheerful disposition at all times with patients in waiting and other team members.
Duties would include:
- Handling Front desk/Reception, emails and booking appointments.
- Updating patient's demographic information in the electronic file.
- Guiding the patient to the proper waiting area and the doctor.
- Sending referrals to specialists and following up.
- OHIP billings and validations.
- Maintaining Clinic's cleanliness and sanitizing testing areas and equipment.
- General administrative duties as per Clinic's requirements.
- To open and close clinic.
Clinic hours 8:30AM- 5:30PM from Mondays to Thursday and 8:30AM to 4PM on Friday.
Please note that this is a full time job. Training will be provided.

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
