OMNI Eyecare is a small optometric practice, focused on providing excellent eye care in a safe and welcoming environment to all of our patients.
We are currently seeking a friendly and outgoing individual with good communication skills to join our team as an Optometric assistant/receptionist.

Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care and experience while promoting healthy eyes and vision.

Requirements:

• Self motivation: A quick learner who takes initiative to complete tasks independently.
• Communication skills: Able to interact clearly with people in a professional manner. Must have excellent command of verbal and written English.
• Organization skills: Must be detail oriented, computer literate, and keep accurate records to produce information quickly.
• Multi-tasking skills: Able to take on different roles and responsibilities, to keep things organized, punctual, and running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management skills Complete a wide variety of responsibilities throughout the day and to prioritize important tasks.
• Team Player: Needs to be able to work as a team with other staff members to maintain patient flow, and can also work independently as needed.
• Interpersonal skills: Be attentive and personable with patients. Keep a positive and cheerful attitude at all times with patients and other team members.

Duties/responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Performing preliminary testing and operating optometric equipment.
• Responding to phone calls/emails, schedule appointments, create invoices for services/products rendered
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization protocols in all areas of the clinic
• General administrative duties
• Previous experience is an asset. Starting hourly wage: $18+ per hour

Experience: Optometric Assistant: 1 year (preferred)

Asset: As part of a multicultural community, the ability to speak a second language is an asset (i.e Vietnamese, Tagalog, Arabic, Cantonese etc.)
