Specsmate Mogappair – Optometrist & Retail Associate
Responsibilities
- Customer Focus & Experience
- Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and valued.
- Greet and guide walk-in customers toward free eye check-ups and consultations.
- Maintain high service standards to deliver a seamless shopping and healthcare experience.
- Eye Check-up & Dispensing
- Conduct thorough eye examinations following Specsmate’s optometry protocols.
- Share prescriptions clearly and educate customers about single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses.
- Recommend suitable frames and lenses based on lifestyle, budget, and visual needs.
- Perform quality checks on lenses and frames before delivery to ensure accuracy and comfort.
- Sales & Product Recommendation
- Present customers with an optimal selection of eyewear products tailored to their preferences.
- Understand unstated needs, ask relevant questions, and recommend solutions at the right time.
- Achieve sales targets, eye-test conversions, and minimize returns by resolving customer concerns effectively.
- Coordinate product pick-up and manage after-sales service, including handling returns with empathy and professionalism.
- Store Operations & Upkeep
- Participate in stock management, including stocktakes and replenishment.
- Maintain store cleanliness, frame displays, and equipment as per Specsmate standards.
- Ensure security of all optical instruments, lenses, and stock units.
- Technology & POS Handling
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions smoothly.
- Support digital record-keeping and customer communication for transparency and accuracy.
Personal Attributes & Competencies
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Optometry (or equivalent certification).
- Strong ability to build rapport and long-term trust with customers.
- Clear communication and active listening skills to understand both stated and unstated needs.
- Adaptability to evolving customer expectations and openness to continuous learning.
- Proactive ownership of tasks with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to compliance, transparency, and professional ethics in retail and healthcare.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
