JOB DESCRIPTION: ORAL SURGERY PRACTICE MANAGER
Reports to: Owner
Job Summary:
A well-established Oral Surgery practice in Athens, GA is seeking a highly motivated Practice Manager to join their team-oriented practice. The Business Manager will take the leading role in supporting all critical business functions of the practice and ensure top-notch patient care is paramount. This role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to help the team succeed. The Business Manager should be resourceful, proactive and efficient while maintaining an approachable and professional presence to both the team and patients. Essential Job Functions for the Practice Manager will include:
- Maintain daily accounting records and ensure timely submission to practice CPA firm
- Maintain personnel files and documentation
- Maintain files and documentation for continuing education requirements, licensure and memberships
- Manage payroll and payroll functions
- HR related functions (staff evaluations, benefits, hiring, etc.)
- Maintain/monitor accounts receivable
- Manage office supply inventory
- Other tasks as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree a plus
- Experience in a management role and executive support
- Exceptional knowledge of medical and dental terminology and processes a plus
- Outstanding work ethic with a self-starter attitude, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Experience with QuickBooks and an EMR a plus
- Able to maintain confidentiality with all matters including maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Have a “can-do” positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
- Eager to become an expert in the position
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
