Order/Project Manager, Steligence® Fabrication Center

The Project Management Department of Steligence Fabrication center is currently divided into two country related pools. Each pool is led by a Business manager who coaches 4 to 6 Order/Project managers in charge of the order follow up. Once the order has been taken over by the Business manager it is transmitted to the Order/Project manager.
As an Order project manager in the Steligence® Fabrication center organisation you will be responsible for the entire follow up of the projects: from the rolling, through the fabrication up to the shipment as well as the invoicing. The delivery schedule and the main deadlines must be agreed by & with the different production centers to make sure to meet the validated customer requests.
Responsibilities
- Analyze of documents received from Technical Sales Manager and the customer (drawings, technical specifications, contract, planning)
- Management of the allocated projects, respecting the technical specifications of the projects, milestones/deadlines, and financial conditions
- Ordering of the rolled sections at mills
- Follow-up of subcontractors for the fabrication, surface treatment, galvanization and/or transport
- Close exchange with the customers to understand their needs, take into consideration the modifications requested after the commercial phase and assess the financial, technical and logistic impacts of these modifications
- Liaise with the customer, the mill, the fabrication shop interlocutors
- Guarantee order closure in various aspects: stock issue, invoicing & payment tracking, financial order revision
- Be proactive to anticipate potential problems and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Steligence® Fabrication Center
- Manage claims in collaboration with the Quality manager and the Business manager.
Applicant attributes
- Technical academic background (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering and/or Steel construction
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar function, with commercial orders understanding and follow-up, in industrial area
- Accuracy in work execution and ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent commercial and communication skills
- Ability to understand new products, informatics processes and their implementation
- Ability to work in a team and at the interface with various departments
- High energy, flexibility, and self-motivation
- Knowledge of the SAP based order management system
- Strong knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Language skills: Fluent French and English are mandatory; German, Luxemburgish or any other European language are an advantage.
- Openness to travel from time to time (less than 10% to visit customers, job sites and sub-constructors).
