Job Title: Operation Theatre (OT) Technician – Eye Hospital
Department: Operation Theatre
Job Summary
The OT Technician is responsible for assisting ophthalmic surgeons during eye surgeries, maintaining OT sterility, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring smooth functioning of the operation theatre.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during eye surgeries such as cataract, glaucoma, retina, and other procedures
- Maintain proper OT protocols, aseptic techniques, and infection control standards
- Operate and assist with ophthalmic equipment (microscope, phaco machine, vitrectomy unit, etc.)
- Monitor OT supplies, medicines, and consumables; report shortages in advance
- Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team for smooth OT workflow
Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology
- Preference to candidates with experience in an eye hospital
Experience
- 1–8 years of experience as an OT Technician
