Position Summary
The Outdoor Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining the organization, presentation, and overall cleanliness of all exterior areas of the store, including the garden centre, yard, and storage areas. This role plays a key part in delivering an excellent customer experience by ensuring outdoor displays are well stocked, safe, and visually appealing, while also supporting sales and propane services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all outdoor areas, including yard spaces and storage containers
• Set up, replenish, and maintain outdoor merchandise displays, including sidewalk and seasonal features
• Ensure the garden centre is well-presented, fully stocked, and customer-ready at all times
• Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases in outdoor areas
• Actively sell and promote outdoor and seasonal merchandise
• Safely handle propane tank exchanges and refilling in accordance with company policies and safety standards
• Load and assist customers with large or heavy items as needed
• Monitor inventory stored in outdoor areas and communicate replenishment needs
• Support seasonal transitions, including setup and teardown of outdoor departments
• Follow all health and safety procedures, especially when working outdoors and handling equipment

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a willingness to engage and assist customers
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy products
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous retail, yard, or warehouse experience is an asset
• Training or willingness to be trained in propane handling and safety procedures
