Seeking a warm and loving nurse/aide to provide awake, alert, in home overnight care, for our nine-year-old son who has a tracheostomy, G tube, and a ventilator at night.

We welcome applications from Health Care Aides, Student or graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse equivalent or higher, including nursing students

Job includes:

- alert, eyes on care of our son

- suctioning of tracheostomy

- Ventilator checks

- administering G tube feeds and medication as needed

- cleaning of medical equipment

- tracheostomy and g-tube care along with basic care needs

- learning and activities to reach therapy goals during daytime hours

Job requirements:

- must be reliable, confident and punctual

- must be compassionate and love children

- eager to learn, energetic, self-starter

- experience with children an asset

- experience with tracheostomies an asset

-experience with American Sign Language an asset

- can communicate in fluent English

- non-smoker and from non-smoking home

- valid pediatric CPR training a must, criminal record check

- tracheostomy training is provided
