Overnight Shelter Advocate

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8pm-8am.

1. Provide advocacy services to residential and outreach clients, including assistance with any need requests during their stay.

2. Be responsible that the shelter facility meets health and safety guidelines, following the cleaning and maintenance documentation.

3. Be available to provide crisis services to residential and non-residential intimate partner violence victims. These services can include: crisis hotline telephone coverage, crisis support for residential and non-residential survivors, and 24-hour emergency coverage.

4. Be able to determine the best level of service provision for those seeking services with DPRC.

5. Complete all necessary paperwork related to client intakes and agency operations.

6. Be able to use computer database program to input client information and for communicating with staff.

7. Attend initial staff training, New Service Provider Training and ongoing annual trainings/staff meetings.

8. Assist all staff with any other duties relative to the efficient operation of the program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
