Job Overview
TK Ranch is a small family-owned business focusing on animal welfare, environmental stewardship and quality (tkranch.com). We employ a small number of staff that work closely in a team focused friendly environment to prepare high quality meat products. We require a Packaging Associate with a progressive and positive attitude to assist with our business.
Responsibilities
- Follow direction of the Sausage Kitchen lead;
- Identify finished meat cuts and inspect them to ensure they meet quality standards;
- Place products into bags and vacuum package them;
- Apply batch code labels and follow traceability procedures;
- Use a retail scale to weigh and apply identifier labels;
- Sort and place products onto tray towers or into boxes or bins;
- Be organized to meet or exceed weekly production requirements;
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace;
- Observe health and safety regulations;
- Work cooperatively with other employees;
- Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently;
- Other duties as required.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Six months packaging experience an asset;
- Attention to detail;
- Strong organization & time management skills;
- Able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
- Dependability & accountability a must;
- Physically fit, must be able to lift 50 lbs;
- Willing to work in cold environments;
- Must be able to commute to job site 20 minutes east of Calgary.
Job Type: Full-time
