Paint And Composite Supervisor

Dickey Boats is excited to offer an opportunity to join our high performing team as a Paint and Composite Supervisor

Role Overview:

This role will involve you leading from the front while mentoring and guiding our team in fairing and painting techniques. You will take charge of the painting operations, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining safety standards. Additionally, you will also be responsible for managing the soles and bulkheads phase of the builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead and manage team members in fairing and painting techniques
  • Plan and schedule painting projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain inventory of paint supplies and order materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
  • Enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilation systems.
  • Take ownership of the soles and bulkheads phase of the project, ensuring we meet quality and efficiency standards

Additionally, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Composite Boat Builder, Paint Supervisor or a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Practical experience with fairing and painting in a marine environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for your craft
