Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential painting and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on various projects, restoring and building structures, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The Painter/Laborer will play a crucial role in transforming spaces and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of homes.
Able to work in a team atmosphere.
Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s licence to get to and from job sites.
Working at heights is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential painting tasks, including preparation, priming, and finishing.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks.
- Assist in construction painting projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Restore surfaces through sanding, patching, and drywall repair as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship.
Skills
- Proficient in residential painting techniques and methods.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools relevant to painting and construction work.
- Knowledge of drywall installation and repair processes.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on all projects.
