Description

Your Future Strategy is a full-service professional firm consisting of Financial & Strategic Advisers, Accountants, and Mortgage Brokers. For over 15 years, we have partnered with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and long-term aspirations, driven by our passion for excellence and innovation in everything we do.

As part of the Septennial Group, we are continuously evolving our advice offering to ensure we deliver the highest quality outcomes for clients. We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Paraplanner to join our growing national team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of professional advisers dedicated to creating highly tailored and strategic financial solutions for clients. Unlike many traditional paraplanning roles, this position is not centered around repetitive, “one-size-fits-all” advice production. Our strategies are highly customised, varied, and often complex, requiring someone who enjoys critical thinking, problem solving, and adapting their technical expertise to unique client circumstances.

As our Paraplanner, your responsibilities will include –

  • Developing detailed models and projections for strategies involving tax structures, investments, property, superannuation, SMSFs, and insurance.
  • Preparing high-quality client reports with precision and clarity.
  • Drafting Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) in collaboration with advisers.
  • Conducting in-depth research and technical analysis across a broad range of advice areas.
  • Maintaining accurate client files and data management systems.
  • Ensuring compliance across documentation, advice processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with ongoing improvement and streamlining of advice and compliance workflows.
  • Providing technical and strategic support to advisers.
  • Compliance standards including rigorous file integrity, ensuring alignment, conducting detailed reviews of client fact-finds and supporting documentation, and supporting the ongoing quality assurance of advice provided to clients.

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment, values client outcomes, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Most importantly, we want someone who enjoys thinking beyond standardised advice templates and is motivated by creating genuinely tailored outcomes for clients. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, embraces change, and wants to be part of a business focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Your ability to combine technical expertise with strong attention to detail will play a critical role in minimising risk, maintaining compliance standards, and supporting exceptional client outcomes.

To excel in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner
  • Minimum education requirement of Diploma of Paraplanning
  • Thorough understanding of compliance obligations, regulatory frameworks, and the importance of precise documentation within financial advice.
  • Strong technical knowledge and research capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to contribute ideas and improvements.
  • Experience with or exposure to IFF software will be highly regarded.

Why Join Us?

At Your Future Strategy, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborative, and rewarding team culture where personal development and career progression are genuinely encouraged.

Our core values Competence, Accountability, Client-Focused, Passion, Innovation, Collaboration & Integrity are at the heart of everything we do.

If you are looking for a role where you can grow professionally, contribute meaningfully, and work on diverse and strategic advice outcomes rather than repetitive processing work, we would love to hear from you.

We welcome you to apply with your cover letter and CV. For additional queries or information, please do not hesitate to contact Megan Selbie on mselbie@septennial.com.au
