**Job Summary:**

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Operators to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in driving passenger vehicles or similar vehicles. This role requires drivers with a passion for transportation and a commitment to providing a safe and comfortable experience for our passengers.

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • A valid license in good standing
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Punctual with an emphasis on attendance
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and a drug test

We are prioritizing drivers who are interested in overtime, willing to work weekends, and know the Central Florida area. MUST be able to attend a two-week training that starts on 1/7/24 at eight hours a day.

**Duties:**

- Provide door-to-door transportation for passengers safely and efficiently

- Ensure passengers are properly secured and provide assistance with all entries and exits

- Greet passengers, accept fare payment and maintain a safe environment

- Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns

- Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections

- Operate a paratransit vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring all safety features are in working order.

- Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, friendly, and patient.

- Ensure all passengers are safely transported to their destination and assist them with any needs they may have.

- Assist with the maintenance of vehicle records and reports.

- Communicate effectively with other drivers and staff members.

- Educate passengers on safety procedures and emergency protocols.

- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

- Follow all routes and schedules as directed by management.

- Participate in training and safety programs to stay up-to-date with industry standards.

- Other duties as required

**Skills:**

- Ability to drive safely and efficiently.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work effectively with children and other passengers.

- Familiarity with bus driving or paratransit services.

- Ability to write clear and concise reports.

- Willingness to undergo training and safety programs.

- School bus driving experience is a plus.

- Van driver experience is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
