Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time parcel sorter to join our early AM shift in our Parcels division of our Tamaki branch. You must be available to work the 4.00am – 12.30pm shift.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service.

Additional key duties below:

  • Load and unload all freight safely and securely
  • Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
  • Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
  • Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner
  • Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product
  • Maintain good working relationships
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment

He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.

Additionally, you will need:

  • Prior work experience in the freight industry
  • A strong health and safety focus
  • OSH approved forklift certificate
  • F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
