Our Parking Officers spend most of their time outdoors in and around the District in all sorts of weather, connecting with the public daily. As the face of Hastings District Council you will use your amazing customer services skills to promote positive public relations. If this sounds like you then we look forward to seeing your application for this full-time Parking Officers position, working from Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

What is Parking Enforcement all about?

Parking isn’t just about enforcement, our Officers are dedicated to ensuring everyone gets the chance to park close to their favourite shops or café, and our tamariki are kept safe at the school gates. You will be our eyes on the ground, walking the streets of our gorgeous district doing daily patrols, enforcing parking regulations and ensuring the safe efficient operation of the district’s roading networks.

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent customer services skills
• Be patient, always happy to help
• Have a good level of physical fitness
• Have experience with conflict management - essential as you may encounter complex situations
• Display a cool and collected manner when working under pressure
• Have an innovative and proactive approach to solving problems
