The Parks Unit within Christchurch City Council has a clear focus on helping Christchurch maintain the iconic Garden City image that makes it such a great place to live, work and visit. We are out there every day, ensuring our spectacular garden parks and inner city green spaces are maintained to a high standard.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service to support the operational delivery of a range of activities associated with neighbourhood, sports parks and cemeteries.
  • Being the face of the Council parks management and performing a pivotal role in ensuring the Levels of Service provided are fit for purpose for the enjoyment and use of the parks network.
  • The role will provide a key quality assurance function by conducting regular internal audit of parks maintenance activities.

Hours of work - Fulltime Permanent Position
Location - This position is primarily based in Sockburn
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $78,464 per annum to $90,252 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
