Part Time Afterschool Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking an energetic and responsible Afterschool Assistant with at least one year of experience in a busy, fast-paced childcare setting. The ideal candidate will support the program's daily operations, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and engage with children in meaningful activities that promote their development.

Key Responsibilities: -

Supervision and Care:

Ensure the safety and well-being of children during afterschool hours, monitoring activities and addressing any behavioral or safety concerns.

Activity Support: Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and homework support.

Environment Management: Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Set up and clean activity areas as needed.

Positive Interaction: Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to foster a sense of community and trust.

Qualifications: ExperienceMinimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a busy, dynamic environment

Education: Have a min of fetac level 5 in childcare, First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €13.00-€15.00 per hour
