Part-Time Bookkeeper / Erp Administrator – Self-Employed / Contract

Xpress Electrical is a growing electrical and LED wholesale business based in Artane, Dublin 5.

We are looking for an experienced self-employed bookkeeper or bookkeeping business to manage our day-to-day accounts and ERP records on an ongoing basis.

The requirement is currently approximately one day per week, with the successful person/business invoicing us for time worked.

This would suit an experienced bookkeeper who already provides bookkeeping services to SMEs and is comfortable taking ownership of the accounts rather than simply processing transactions.

Scope of Work

• Bank and payment reconciliations
• Correct allocation of customer and supplier payments
• Maintaining accurate customer and supplier account balances
• Processing and reviewing purchase and sales transactions
• Nominal ledger coding and account reconciliation
• VAT preparation and ROS submissions
• Maintaining accounts to trial balance
• Customer debtor follow-up and account reconciliation
• Investigating and correcting discrepancies within the accounts
• Keeping ERP records and supporting documentation accurate and organised
• Assisting with stock and transaction records within the ERP system
• Payroll administration may be added over time

Experience Required

• Strong bookkeeping experience with Irish SMEs
• Experience with Intact, Sage or similar ERP/accounting software
• Intact experience would be particularly useful
• Experience preparing Irish VAT returns and using ROS
• Strong bank, customer and supplier reconciliation experience
• Comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and take ownership of the bookkeeping function

Working Arrangement

• Approximately 1 day per week
• Primarily based at our premises in Artane, Dublin 5
• Ongoing subcontract / outsourced bookkeeping arrangement
• You will invoice Xpress Electrical for the services provided
• Flexible long-term arrangement for the right person or bookkeeping business

We are a small but growing SME and are looking for someone dependable who can become familiar with our business and systems and keep the accounts accurate and up to date.
