Location: Alphington, VIC
Start Date: July 2026
Hours: Part-Time | 30 hours per week
Roster: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm - 8:00pm
Pay Rate: $25.85 per hour + Super

Cater Care is seeking expressions of interest for a Catering Assistant / Cold Larder Cook to join our team in Alphington, commencing in July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic food service professional who enjoys preparing fresh meals, creating quality cold larder items, and working as part of a supportive kitchen team.

As a Catering Assistant / Cold Larder Cook, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality food service within a busy kitchen environment. You'll assist with food preparation, meal service, and the production of fresh cold larder items while maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily food preparation and meal service
  • Prepare and assemble salads, sandwiches, wraps, and other cold larder items
  • Support catering requirements for functions, meetings, and special events
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas
  • Wash dishes and support general kitchen operations
  • Follow food safety, allergen management, and hygiene procedures at all times
Skills and Experiences:
About You

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cold larder work, kitchen assistance, or customer service
  • Experience working in high-volume catering or commercial kitchen environments (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • High standards of personal presentation and hygiene
  • The ability to remain organised and efficient during busy service periods
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic
