St. Phillip is looking for spirit filled positive experienced (2 years minimum) key board/piano player. The candidate must be well versed with the ability to play church hymns as well as contemporary songs. The candidate must be willing to learn the standard opening and closing of the AME church worship service and be willing to rehearse at least one day a week during the week that the musician is scheduled to play (1st and 3rd). The candidate must be consistent, reliable, dependable, spirit filled, a team player, able to identify voice ranges and appoint and direct choir members to lead in selected songs when necessary. The candidate must be willing to back up the pastors rythmic preaching style with music to support the message. Preferance will be given to the candidate who is willing to travel with the choir when invited to other churches as needed for additional compensation. Only serious candidates are encouraged to apply who are ready to begin within weeks of being hired.
