Gather by Cater Care is seeking a motivated Commis Chef / Demi Chef to join our team at International House Kitchen, Parkville. Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students while developing your skills in a busy education catering environment.

Enjoy a stable part-time roster, supportive team culture and school holiday breaks, including a summer stand-down period over December and January.

Description:
Roster

• Monday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
• Tuesday & Thursday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
• Wednesday: 11:30am - 7:30pm
• Friday: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals including bulk cooking
• Support Senior Chefs with daily kitchen operations
• Assist with food preparation, service and general kitchen duties
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Deliver quality food service in a busy catering environment

Skills and Experiences:
About You

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or similar role
• School or large-scale catering experience is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively in a team

All successful candidates will be required to satisfy a Working With Children Check.
