Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet and seat guests with a warm and friendly demeanour.
• Provide attentive and personalised service to ensure a positive dining experience.

Order Taking:

• Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders from guests.
• Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.

Menu Knowledge:

• Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
• Make recommendations and answer questions about menu items.

Table Maintenance:

• Set and clear tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organised dining area.
• Monitor and anticipate the needs of guests throughout their dining experience.

Collaboration with Kitchen:

• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
• Assist with the preparation of basic side dishes in the kitchen.
• Communicate any customer feedback or special requests to the kitchen team.

Upselling:

• Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverage pairings, to enhance the dining experience.
• Promote ongoing specials and promotions.

Payment Processing:

• Accurately process guest payments and provide change as needed.
• Handle cash and electronic transactions with precision.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing dishes and resetting tables.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure a sanitary work environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €13.70 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Castletroy, CO. Limerick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
