Scholars of ​Don Mills​ is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic ​part-time French teacher or tutor ​to join our team. As a teacher / tutor at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. Essential Job Functions

• Instruct students on an as-needed basis
• Report student progress
• Prepare teaching materials, when applicable
• Complete administrative tasks

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in French or French as a first language is preferred
• Experience with students in a French teaching or tutoring environment is an asset
• Ontario Certified Teacher​ is preferred (flexible at the Centre Director’s discretion)
• Vulnerable Sector Check to be completed
• Excellent French oral and written skills
• Excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students
• Ability to teach Elementary level Math and English.

Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below.

• Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:00PM - 8:00PM
• Saturdays - 9:00AM - 4:00PM

We are looking for teachers to join our team in-centre!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• teaching / tutoring: 1 year (required)

Language:

• French (required)
