Now Hiring: Part-Time Furniture & Warehouse Associate / Cashier
Location: Vendors' Village – Terre Haute, IN

Vendors’ Village in Terre Haute is seeking a dependable, physically capable Part-Time Furniture & Warehouse Associate / Cashier to support furniture unloading, assembly, and sales floor placement, along with cashier and customer service duties.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active throughout their shift, and helping keep a busy retail space running smoothly. Weekend availability is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Unload furniture, large items, and merchandise deliveries
• Move, lift, and place furniture on the sales floor and throughout the store
• Assemble furniture and display items using basic hand tools
• Maintain safe, organized stock and sales floor areas
• Assist with general warehouse and backroom organization
• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
• Greet customers and provide basic customer assistance as needed
• Assist with cleaning and general store maintenance tasks

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift items 50 lbs or greater on a regular basis
• Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to work any shift as scheduled, including required weekend availability
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Comfortable handling cash and performing basic math
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• No felonies or pending charges will be accepted
• Preferred: Experience with furniture assembly, warehouse work, stocking, or retail

Requirements:

• Must be 17 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a background check
• In-person work at Terre Haute location required

Job Details:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $12.75 per hour
• Schedule: Flexible; weekend availability required

Business Hours:

• Mon–Sat: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
